Ph.D. Program in Experimental Psychology

The Department of Psychology is looking for bright, accomplished, and motivated people to join the team of students and faculty who are committed to the progress and growth of the research and teaching that takes place each year.

Eligibility:

  • Psychology majors and minors (or closely related fields)
  • Exception with good background in mathematics and science
  • Research experience
  • Statistics background
  • GPA over 3.0 (cumulative from most recent degree)
  • GRE minimum of 50% in Quantitative and Verbal
  • No subject test required
  • Non-natives need TOEFL: 550-paper model, 213-computer model, 80-ibT

No foreign language requirement.

New graduate students are only admitted into the program to begin in the Fall quarter of each academic year.

More than 3 Letters of Recommendations can be uploaded into your online application.

Letters of Recommendation can also be directly mailed to our department by a letter service or the applicant (be sure it is confidential) however we strongly prefer they are submitted online.

Send one official transcript for every school attended after high school to the department.

All supplemental materials must be received by the application deadline.

Students who have deferred from a previous year should NOT send a new application. Notify the department to reactivate your application.
