Policies and Procedures

Please submit all room requests to the following email address: reservations@psy.ucsd.edu

The Department of Psychology has the following rooms available for use:

Mandler Hall 1507 (Capacity: 20)
Mandler Hall 3545, Crick Conference Room (Capacity: 75)
McGill Hall 1350 (Capacity: 50)
McGill Hall 5240 (Capacity: 15)
McGill Hall 5326, Glass Conference Room (Capacity: 20)

NOTE: You MUST submit all reservation requests to reservations@psy.ucsd.edu to confirm room availability. The calendar details are updated on a regular basis, but your reservation is not official until you receive email confirmation.

General Reservation Policy
Rooms are reserved on a first come, first serve basis with priority given to the primary usage of each room.

If schedule permits, other activities besides the primary uses listed below (such as research or running subjects) can be arranged for on specific dates and times, but primary designation of each room will have schedule priority. We make every attempt to maintain reservations of these alternate activities, however, occasionally we may need to reschedule the lower priority event to allow for a primary activity.

Primary Room Usage

McGill 1350 / Mandler 1507

• Undergraduate and graduate instruction; i.e. seminars, discussions, and special projects necessary and associated with class work
• Qualifying exams and dissertations
• OSD exam administration
  
  Important: Undergraduate courses may only be scheduled in Mandler 1507 or McGill 1350. It is not allowable to use any other departmental space for undergraduate courses.

Glass Conference Room / Crick Conference Room / McGill 5240

• Graduate courses, faculty and graduate recruitment activity, department colloquiums
• Lab meetings, brown bag events, and administrative meetings

Blackout Periods
No events will be scheduled during the days and times listed below.

Crick Conference Room:
Wednesday 11:45am - 2pm, Tuesday 4 - 6pm (Winter Quarter), Thursday 4 - 6pm

Glass Conference Room:
Thursday 3 - 7pm (Fall and Spring Quarter)
