Psychology OSD Accommodations

OSD Exams

The Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) promotes and facilitates educational access for students with disabilities. Each year they serve about 500 to 600 students with various permanent or temporary chronic disabilities that medically, cognitively, or psychologically impede academic processing.

The Psychology Student Affairs office is available to schedule exam room accommodations. This largely depends on the availability of department space. You can view current room availability here.

The detailed process is linked here (word doc). Information in this document may be used within your course syllabus.

General reminders:

  • - Remind students to submit AFA form to the instructor/TA within the first two weeks of class.
  • - Submit exam room accommodation requests (reservations@psy.ucsd.edu) within the first two weeks of the quarter. Any final exam requests should be submitted during week 8.
  • - Students do not get extra time if they are late and may be required to get approval from the instructor before being allowed to begin exam.
  • - Students will be asked to show ID card before beginning exam.
  • - We cannot guarantee that a single student will have a larger room to himself or herself.
