Gaze steadily at the central cross for 15 seconds. Now briefly move the mouse over the picture for one second, and you will see a colored afterimage in complementary colors.. Remove mouse and re-adapt ad lib, maintaining strict fixation. The subjective colors in the afterimage can become as strong as the real colors.
